Building GNU Toolchains

The following set of pages describes how to build the GNU Toolchain:

Release Process

  • The same source files will be used for all platforms
  • Initial testing of the release candidate from svn/git/bzr should be done before proceeding.
  • A release branch in svn/git/bzr will be made in all the components
  • Testing must have a pass rate as good or better than the previous release
  • Benchmarking should show no appreciable negative differences
  • Release message sent
